Why we are a B Corp

Being a B Corp places us among a community of leaders that are driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good. What better way to accomplish this than through global education? We strive to support teachers, school leaders, and districts as they develop open-minded students with 21st century skills who will grow up to be active and successful citizens of the world.

Bringing global education to all students

Expanding young minds, or bringing global education to all students, is a collective effort from all of us at Participate Learning, including our ambassador teachers. We know global education is a catalyst for changing lives and prepares students to be highly engaged contributors to a more peaceful and united world. Our global leadership framework helps educators deliver lessons with a global lens that spark curiosity, develop self-awareness, and foster a sense of global connection, all while developing the critical thinking skills students need to succeed in life.

Developing programs for global leaders

What makes our programs so transformative is the way that school leaders implement the global leaders program to align with the existing goals of the school community. At Piney Creek School in Alleghany County, North Carolina, a proud member of the Participate Learning Partnership, every lesson has the potential to connect to the outside world and be inspired by the local environment. Using a global lens to reexamine local traditions inspires curiosity and develops a sense of pride in one’s heritage. As an organization, we also share the vision of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our programs work towards those goals by supporting educators in strengthening global competencies in their students.

Our social mission

We are changing the world through global learning one student, one teacher, and one school at a time. Teaching students through the global leadership framework energizes and inspires them to respect differences, think critically, and confidently compete anywhere in the world. Our social mission is grounded in our collective efforts to drive a global movement that nurtures students to be global leaders who feel both a responsibility and a deep sense of connection to the world around them.

As we further our mission and work together to create a more equitable, peaceful, and just world, we are always in search of new partnerships. Are you a like-minded teacher, administrator, or thought leader who shares our goals? Learn more about our global leaders program or send us a message here if you would like to connect. Stay tuned for more of our B Corp story in the months ahead.
